In the heart of historic Hull, Québec lays Les Brasseurs du Temps a mico brewery, big on taste, with an eye toward European tradition. It's our Food Gypsy Oktoberfest pick of the month for a dam good pint, a bit of brew history and a nibble or nosh on the side.
The city's newest brew pub, Mill Street Brew Pub hit the ground running early this year with a big, splashy opening. Located in one of downtown Ottawa's historic buildings, along the river's edge; it's spectacular location attracted a great deal of attention from curious folks (like me) who were eager to see the end result. So once all the fuss died down a bit we ventured out for an early lunch on a Sunday to take a peek.
Lobster Chili, you’ll be the hit of the tailgate party. MAN FOOD, with a refined twist (and buttery, garlicky, cheesy biscuits).
The Wellington Gastropub has been on my list for a number of reasons a) I love a good pub and b) I love a good pub with food that is something beyond your standard burgers/chicken wings fare. It proved to be a warm Wellie welcome.
